This Privacy Policy explains how PrankScreen (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Android app and this website (https://prankscreen.roxlabhq.com). PrankScreen is an entertainment app that shows simulated visual and audio effects. It does not physically damage your device.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the product, information may include:

• Purchase status — Google Play may provide purchase tokens and product identifiers so we can unlock Pro features and restore purchases.
• Advertising identifiers & ad interaction data — if you use the free tier with ads enabled, Google AdMob may collect device and ad performance information under Google’s policies.
• Device and app diagnostics — basic technical signals needed to run ads, billing, or crash-related diagnostics when provided by platform SDKs.
• Local preferences — settings such as sound, haptics, favorites, and onboarding completion stored on your device.
• Website usage — standard server/browser technical logs if our hosting provider collects them (IP address, user agent, pages requested).

3. Information We Do Not Collect

For the core prank experience, PrankScreen does not collect:

• Your photo or media library contents
• Contacts
• Precise location for prank features
• Microphone recordings
• Camera captures of your surroundings
• Account passwords (there is no PrankScreen account for the core experience)

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide and improve the app experience
• Unlock and restore Pro entitlements via Google Play
• Show ads to free users (when ads are enabled)
• Respond to support requests you send us
• Maintain security and diagnose technical issues

5. Advertising

The free version may display ads using Google AdMob. Ads are not shown during fullscreen prank mode or on the purchase screen, and Pro users do not see ads. AdMob may use advertising identifiers and related signals as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

6. Analytics

The current Android app uses lightweight local event tracking for development and product insight. If we enable a third-party analytics provider later, we will update this policy.

7. Google Play Services

PrankScreen relies on Google Play services for distribution, updates, billing, and (when enabled) advertising. Google’s handling of data is governed by Google’s own policies.

8. Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive confirmation that a product was purchased so we can unlock Pro. Manage subscriptions in Google Play.

9. Device Permissions

PrankScreen may use optional sensors (such as accelerometer) for motion-triggered effects, vibration for haptics, and network access for ads/billing. It does not require photo, microphone recording, or contact permissions for the core experience.

10. Local Data

Preferences, favorites, playlists, and a temporary entitlement cache may be stored locally on your device using Android storage APIs (such as DataStore). Clearing app data removes this local information.

11. Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall. Purchase records are retained by Google according to Google Play policies. Support emails you send are retained as needed to resolve your request.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for a consumer app without a custom backend. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

13. Third-Party Services

Third parties may include Google Play Billing, Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads, and our website host. Their privacy practices apply to data they process.

14. Children's Privacy

PrankScreen is a general-audience entertainment app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

15. International Users

If you access the app or website from outside the country where our operators are located, information may be processed in other jurisdictions as needed to provide the services through Google and hosting providers.

16. Your Choices

You can adjust device ad settings, limit ad tracking where available, restore or manage purchases in Google Play, clear local app data, and uninstall the app. Contact us to ask questions about this policy.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on the website.
